Parent-Child Relationship ~ Aanya Kumar

Parent-Child Relationship

Parents play an important role in the lives of children by supporting them all through their lives and being there when most in need. Parents teach children important values and pass on family traditions. However, if parenting is not taken seriously or not done as it should be, it could impact the kids in the long-term with crime being a possible outcome. Kids with improper parenting could end up having depression or struggling hard to prove their worth in order to grab their parents' attention. Kids with overbearing parents can end up either being successful due to the close attention they receive or spoiled because of how pampered they are. Children illuminate the lives of parents by making them proud by the years and teach them patience. Usually, there is a gap of at least one generation between parents and children which could lead to misunderstandings due to the changing times and circumstances. Further on in life, these factors could affect how a child feels about their parents and how good they will do in life. Parents and children are both mutually dependent on each other. If even one of their roles is not played properly, it could impact their lives in many ways.
